My Dream House

Hello again! Lately in e-Comm we have been given the chance to make our dream home on the software, Google Sketchup! The scope of the project was to have windows, doors and to make the house have it's own personality.  Which I think, I have accomplished pretty well! Not to be cocky, or anything!

My process was to follow the pre-production, production and post production process. My first step was pre-production and that meant that I had to plan and decide what I wanted to do. I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted to do. But in the end I just decided to make an L-shaped house with an upstairs porch, and downstairs porch too. The next step was production and I just kinda winged it from there.  The next step after I was done with production was post production. I just started to edit and add some extra detail. This was the finishing reult.

Along the way I learned how to use Google Sketchbook, as this was my first time using it. I learned how to use the different tools such as the move, and free hand and the eraser tool. I had a hard time using the orbit, pan and zoom button at first but in the end I got it. I also learned how to meet deadlines in a more professional way and how to be flexible.

I am pretty happy with my process but if i had to change one thing it would be more time. We got plenty of time but it would have been nice to have enough time to make it more unique and special. In other words, individually ours.

This project was the most fun one I have done because instead of being told what to do, we got to make it our own.
